Last updated: 5 October 2026

Important Before Launch

This draft reflects the intended Salvage Jungle marketplace model. The operator’s legal identity, consumer cancellation/refund rules, subscription terms and governing-law wording should be legally reviewed and finalised before publication.

1. About These Terms

These Terms & Conditions apply when you access or use Salvage Jungle, create an account, advertise a vehicle, contact a seller or use a paid service. By using the platform, you agree to follow these Terms and the policies referred to in them.

2. Our Role

Salvage Jungle is an advertising platform for salvage, damaged and repairable vehicles. We do not own vehicles advertised by users, act as an auctioneer or dealer in the vehicle transaction, or become a party to the contract of sale between buyer and seller.

Buyers and sellers deal directly. Salvage Jungle does not collect or hold the buyer’s vehicle purchase money.

3. Accounts & Eligibility

Registration is free. Users must provide accurate information and keep login details secure. You are responsible for activity through your account. We may restrict or suspend accounts where the platform is misused, these Terms are breached, or activity may be fraudulent or unlawful.

4. Seller Listings & Responsibilities

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy, legality and completeness of adverts. Listings should honestly describe available registration details, make/model/year, mileage, salvage category where applicable, damage, MOT status, V5C status, location, photographs and price or POA status.

Sellers must not hide material damage, use misleading photographs, impersonate others, advertise vehicles they are not entitled to sell, or publish fraudulent content. When a vehicle is no longer available, the seller should mark it sold or remove the advert.

5. Listing Fees

Registration is free. The standard private listing price is £29.95 per listing. The advertised trade rate is £24.95 per listing for sellers with 5 or more live listings, subject to the applicable eligibility and checkout rules.

Listing fees pay for advertising. Salvage Jungle does not charge buyers a vehicle purchase fee and does not take a percentage commission from the vehicle sale. Any applicable duration, renewal, tax, payment-processing and refund information shown at checkout also applies.

6. Buyer Checks & Inspection

Vehicle adverts are supplied by sellers. Buyers should inspect the vehicle or arrange an appropriate independent inspection, verify the seller and available documents, review relevant history information, understand the recorded category and damage, and satisfy themselves that the vehicle is suitable before paying.

Cat S means a vehicle has been recorded with structural damage. Cat N means non-structural damage; it does not necessarily mean cosmetic damage only.

7. Category A & Category B

Category A: scrap only. The vehicle must not return to the road and must be handled in accordance with applicable requirements.

Category B: the bodyshell must not return to the road. Reusable components may be recovered where legally permitted and handled appropriately.

Cat A/B vehicles must not be presented on Salvage Jungle as complete repairable or driveable vehicles. Non-compliant adverts may be removed or restricted.

8. Payment, Handover & Collection

Vehicle payment is arranged directly between buyer and seller. Sellers should independently confirm cleared funds before releasing the vehicle, keys or documents. Both parties should be cautious with payment methods that can be delayed, reversed, forged or misrepresented.

Both parties should keep an appropriate receipt or transaction record and complete any required collection, DVLA notification and other paperwork.

9. Priority Buyer Club

Priority Buyer Club is intended as a monthly buyer membership priced at £24.97 per month, cancel anytime, subject to the subscription terms shown at signup.

Where enabled, membership may provide eligible members with earlier access to eligible new listings and other features described on the Club page. Priority access does not guarantee a purchase; the seller chooses who they sell to. Alerts, vehicle-history information and access timing apply only where those features are stated as available in the active service.

10. Prohibited Use

You must not use Salvage Jungle for fraud, deception, unlawful sales, spam, malicious activity, unauthorised data collection or infringement of another person’s rights. We may reject, suspend or remove content/accounts where reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms or comply with law.

11. Buyer & Seller Disputes

The vehicle contract is directly between buyer and seller. Disputes concerning condition, description, payment, collection, ownership or the transaction are primarily matters between those parties. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Availability & Liability

We aim to keep Salvage Jungle available and useful but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Listings may contain seller-supplied information.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Salvage Jungle is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate user listings, another user’s conduct, a failed direct transaction or decisions made without appropriate checks. Nothing excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful.

13. Intellectual Property

The Salvage Jungle name, branding, website design and content owned by us are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Users must have the right to upload their listing content and grant us permission reasonably necessary to display, format and promote an active listing.

14. Privacy & Cookies

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Cookies and similar technologies are handled in accordance with the site’s cookie information and consent choices.

15. Changes

We may update the platform, prices, features or these Terms. Where appropriate, updated Terms will be published with a revised effective date. Changes do not remove statutory rights applicable to an existing transaction.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Salvage Jungle business and users, subject to mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights. The final governing-law and business-identity wording must be confirmed before launch.

17. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent through the Contact Us page. The website operator’s full legal/business name, appropriate address and contact details should be inserted here before launch.

Legal Review Recommended

This draft is not a substitute for advice from a qualified UK solicitor. Consumer rights, subscription cancellation/refunds, business identity and liability wording should be reviewed before launch.
